In collaboration with Dr. Rhonda Nowak, Director of HWP, developed and conducted poetry writing workshop. Assessed teachers' portfolios for PDERI.
Taught 9th, 11th, and 12th grade Language Arts,Collaborated with drama teacher to produce a student-written play
Student Awards: 2 StarPoet winners (2009), 1 student publication in on-line “Teen Ink" (2009)
Teaching line has included AP Language and Composition, 11th and 10th Grade Honors English, 10th Grade General English, Yearbook and Journalism
Student awards: 11 Starbucks Poetry Contest Winners, First Place State winner and 2 Semi-finalists in the Letters for Literature Contest (2006), First Place in The Honolulu Advertiser Holiday Fiction Contest (2005), First and Second Place State winners in the Media in the Classroom essay contest (2004), and student publications in Teen Ink.
Yearbook awards: Semi-Finalist in the Taylor Publishing Yearbook Competition (2007), Silver Medal (2006) and Bronze Medal (2008) from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. Journalism awards (2008): Silver Medal from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, State Award in Feature Writing, District Awards in Sports and Editorial Writing from Hawaii Publishers Association
